You should never make a decision out of fear. That's why we should plan ahead. In spite of my concerns about Ron Paul's plan to abolish income tax (how does he propose to convince people that it's not the Gvmt's job to take care of them?) and the Federal Reserve (how will he ensure that the money I have saved doesn't end up being worth more as toilet paper?) I love his small government philosophies. If I heard a reasonable answer to those two questions (From his campaign, not just from his supporters posting on the internet), he would probably have my vote.
