Everyone is doing it, so why not try? Mixing Mentos and Coke/Pepsi is all the rage. Watch the explosive results as two ordinary items combine. Unfortunately we could not produce the same high flying results seen in other places. Not enough Mentos? Not enough carbonation? See our lame attempts.

Hmmm … I think whoever was holding the camera said this, but I would bet dollars-to-donuts that a smaller bottle will produce higher velocity … and maybe the shape of the coke bottle (I’d only seen this with coke)
Was the woman who took the bottle away at the end acting in a punitive capacity? She seemed angry.

Actually, we need a full, non shaken 2 litre and almost a full package of mentos. Maybe I’ll try again next week.
The lady in the video wasn’t mad.
