Vintage Chinese Propaganda Posters
Propaganda posters are a sometimes overlooked art form. Sure, their original purpose is to inform, inspire and help a government spread their propaganda. The World War II posters such as Rosie Riveter are classic for their message and for their artistic quality.
Similarly the Chinese have been churning out propaganda photos for years. Yeah, when you are in a communist system, their isn’t much motiviation to work faster or better. So what better way to get the workers motivated than a cool poster. Seriously, these posters are
the hottest thing since Che Guerva on T-Shirts and Posters.
The Mao Post website features an extensive collection of Chinese Propaganda posters dating back to the 50s and sorted by all sorts of categories. It is not clear if you can purchase anything off of the site, but it interesting to browse.
