Smart Car Crash
The Smart Cars are slowly trickling their way to the US. They are all over Europe as their size a fuel efficiency are a natural fit for countries used to driving in Fiat 500 cars and other tiny vehicles. Smart are made by Mercedes, or DaimlerChrysler. They are a spin off company much like Mini is to BMW.
The Smart Car may look funny and dangerous, but these cars a serious in terms of engineering and fuel efficiency.

The Smart Cars are already available in the US from ZAP http://www.zapworld.com ZP (NYSE). A California based company who is also planning on brining a Brazilian made car to the US, the Obvio! 828, that is a hybrid that can run on any combination of ethanol and gas. Zap is also the only car company who is selling a Chinese manufactured car in the US the 100% electric Xebra city car .
